What is Nitinol Alloy and Application
Now China has become a powerful country in science and technology, but do you know how powerful China's technology is? The manned space station alone is not enough, and now it has successfully broken through the key technology of nuclear fusion, even leading the world by 15 years. Does this mean that China is not far from the artificial sun? It turned out that the fully superconducting tokamak nuclear fusion experimental device developed by China at the Hefei Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully achieved a record of 101 seconds of continuous operation at 120 million degrees Celsius, and broke the world record. Compared with the previous record in South Korea, China has time has been directly extended by 5 times, and it seems that we are one step closer to the practical stage of artificial sun.
The success of nuclear fusion technology will lead to the development of Nitinol Alloy.
What is Nitinol?
The tensile strength of Nitinol can reach 1000 MPa. That is to say, it takes
more than 100 dry grams of force per square millimeter to break it, which is
stronger than ordinary steel, and also has good "memory" performance and
corrosion resistance.
Nitinol contains 50% nickel and 50% titanium, that is, the components of
nickel and titanium are equally divided, each accounting for half. The
temperature range of its shape memory can be adjusted by controlling the
composition. In general, the higher the nickel content of Nitinol, the lower the
operating temperature. When the nickel content is 55% and the titanium content
is 45%, the memory alloy can work at room temperature.
Nitinol application:
People have used this feature of memory alloys to make pearl necklaces and
bracelets made of memory alloy wires, as well as bras woven with memory alloy
wires. When these decorations and health care products are worn on the body,
they will restore their original curvature and stiffness under the action of
human body temperature, thus playing a role in decoration and health care. In
addition, the orthodontic wire can also be made of Nitinol alloy, which can use
the temperature of the human mouth to correct the deformed teeth.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic not only had a significant impact on public health, it also severely affected one of the linchpins of the global economy – the tourism industry. As many countries introduced curfews and travel restrictions to contain the spread of the virus, travel across the world significantly declined from early 2020 onwards. The financial repercussions of the coronavirus have already begun to manifest themselves within the tourism industry. In 2020, global revenue from the travel and tourism industry was estimated to drop from a forecasted 711.94 billion U.S. dollars to 568.6 billion U.S. dollars, representing a decrease of over 20 percent. The region predicted to see the highest decline in revenue was Europe, decreasing from 211.97 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to roughly 124 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
The downturn in tourism has caused the recession, and the weakening of the economy has also affected the market demand for Nitinol Alloy. Recently, however, the demand for Nitinol Alloy has increased, so contact us for the latest news on Nitinol Alloy.
